Our Story
StüdiGroup began in 2024 as a joint venture between Kale and Alex Williams, a wife and husband team who developed the idea during a transitional moment in their creative careers. They were interested in an idea that would leverage their combined skills while tapping into the rich creative community and natural splendor of the Hudson Valley. The name 'StüdiGroup' blends 'studio,' after-school gatherings, and the Dutch word for seminar or workshop—a nod to the Hudson Valley's rich Dutch heritage.
Kale Williams, Cofounder
Kale is an independant print designer and potter. She studied illustration at RISD before working for Tom Cody Design and LeSportsac and ultimately founding Kale Williams Studio, a print company with a roster of clients including Yonni, Victoria Secret and Talbots.
Alex Williams, Cofounder
Alex is a designer and independant design and business coach. He studied furniture design at RISD before cofounding RBW, an award winning design brand, contemporary lighting manufacturer and B Corp, which he co-lead from 2007-2024. RBW was named an Inc 5000 fastest growing companies, a Best Places to Work, Wallpaper* 300, Forbes 30 under 30, and 6 time nominee for Cooper Hewitt NDAs.
